Punched Waterlily
It’s a Waterlily day today!
The challenge today was to make a card using punches. I was able to make this card completely from my scrap paper basket. All the CS used is from www.prismpapers.com . I’m liking this cardstock! It’s got a bumpy texture (kinda like watercolor paper) which make it fun for projects like this. It’s a little thinner than SU cardstock, but thick enough for a card back. Great for layering and it comes in a jillion yummy colors. Way fun! You can get it online in a bunch of places (just google Prism Papers).
For this card I started out punching a bunch of small ovals and then sponged all the edges in Elegant Eggplant. Put them together in a flower shape and Shape the petal a bit. The yellow centers are ovals also that have little wedges cut out with scissors.
The lily pad is a hand cut oval with nipped edges using the 1 1/4″ circle punch. Instead of a whole circle flip your punch over (so you can see) insert your paper and nip about 1/4″ inch of the circle. The lines on the lily pad were painted in with an Aquapainter in Always Artichoke in. I also sponged the edges.
The background is circles cut with the 1 1/4″ circle punch with sponged edges in Not Quite Navy
Here’s my card:.
Paper: Prism Prismatics
Ink: Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy, Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Signo Gel Pen, Small Oval Punch, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, AquaPainter

This is just about the cutest thing I have seen made with punches! You are unbelievably creative and talented! Thank you for the detailed description!!
This is different; don’t see many water lilies but it is very pretty. I like the colors you’ve chosen and especially that little bit of yellow which brightens the center of the flower. Amazing how creative one can be with a few punches. Very nice.
Jeanne, that is stunning! You are amazing!
This is gorgeous and so very creative. Beautiful background, too.
You are soooo good with those punches! What a lovely card.
Cool!!!
