Splitcoaststampers.com kinda went poof this morning which caused the Inspiration Challenge to go poof along with it. I decided to go ahead (pushy and impatient person that I am) and post the challenge for the girls who were waiting…….. hehe
Here’s the inspiration, my purse (and a peek at my purty new countertop):

I decide to make the background for my card using the colors from my purse. I used sponge daubers to dot the stripes. The main image was watercolored with reinkers and an Aquapainter.

I just love butterflies. They have to be one of my favorite critters to color.
Today’s challenge WT109 is to use metal in a card. I kinda went faux instead using copper CS, embossing powder and copper cord.
I started out with White CS , stamped the butterflies in copper ink and heat embossed. I sponged the background area in Bashful Blue making it a little blotchy to add texture. The butterflies were colored with a sponge dauber in Vintage Violet. I used an Aquapainter on the body, and then painted in the shadows using Going Gray ink.
Stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs Au Naturale & Simply Sentiments
Paper: Whisper White, Copper, Almost Amethyst, Elegant Eggplant
Ink: Encore Copper, Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst, Vintage Violet
Accessories: Copper EP, Heat Tool, Copper Cord, Sponge, Sponge Dauber, Aquapainter
Here’s my card:
