I admit it, I avoid fancy fold cards.
So when I saw today’s challenge TLC112 I kinda went ick. I clicked on Beate’s great Tri-fold tutorial I decided to go ahead and give it a try. It not only was easy, it was fun. Now I’m kicking myself for not trying it before……lol.

Julia’s challenge today WT108 is to use markers. I love my markers!
I stamped the crab in Black StazOn and then masked his claw and stamped the gift. The crab was colored with a Pumpkin Pie marker. To do the shading I did multiple layers of marker until I got to the color I wanted. I added the white dots with a Signo Gel pen to make it look a little more “crabby”. The sky was sponged in Cool Caribbean and the sand was sponged in Creamy Caramel.
Stamps: Crab & Co.
Paper: Kraft, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Cool Caribbean, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Stazon Black, Cool Caribbean, Creamy Caramel, Markers: Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Yo Yo Yellow

My tuesdays are usually pretty busy, I bowl in the morning and then while I’m in town I usually run around and do any other errands I have to get done. So here I am on wednesday playing catch up on the challenges again.
Tuesday’s color challenge CC109 was to use Sage Shadow, Real Red and Basic Black. These colors screamed Christmas card to me so I went that direction and combined with today’s sketch challenge SC119 to create my card.
Sets used: Watercolor Vine Jumbo Wheel, Peaceful Wishes
Paper: Sage Shadow, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Inks: Sage Shadow, Real Red, Close to Cocoa (for sponging the edges)
Accessories: Black Gingham ribbon, Markers in Basic Black (faux stitching on the Sage Shadow panel) and Real Red (berrys), Sponge, Ticket Corner Punch, Patterned button (it came this way, not sure what company)
I wheeled the back panel twice with the Watercolor Vine wheel. Once in Real Red and once in Sage Shadow. The little Sage Shadow panel was wheeled in Sage Shadow. All of the edges are sponged in Close to Cocoa. I pierced the corners of the Ticket Corned punched panels with a thin needle.
