Things are settling down in my house after my youngest son’s graduation from High School on friday (empty nest here I come…….sniff sniff). My parents and brother and my inlaws came to visit for the celebrations. My folks headed headed home this morning. We had a nice visit. My inlaws will be here a couple more days.

I chose this card as my inspiration for my card. I used her layout with this cute coffee set and the image background from My Favorite Things. The main image was colored with Copic Markers.

When I saw the Sketch Challenge today the first thing I thought of was to make a little scene in the panel. I hunted through my stamps and found these cute little chicks from My Favorite Things the Hoppy Easter set.

I stamped the images in Noir Black Palette ink. I colored the blue background with Copic markers and then used the Copic Colorless Blender pen to remove some of the ink. I added the white clouds by taking an Aquapainter and painting in some Whisper White Craft ink.

The chicks were colored with Copic markers. The “grass” was sponged in Certainly Celery and then I used an Old Olive marker to add the extra blades of grass. The outer edge of the background panel was sponged in Certainly Celery.
