Here’s another card using this week’s Sketch Challenge and another look at the soon to be released (Sept. 1st) Shower Time set from My Favorite Things

The backgrounds were all created with ink and stamps from the Behind The Scenes set from My Favorite Things.

My Favorite Things is set to release a new set (Shower Time) and a fun package special called My Favorite 48 on Sept 1st!! You can find the details HERE . This fun pencil tin is one part of the special! Fun and really easy to decorate, this project came together very quickly!

I stamped a strip of Pretty in Pink in a fun flower pattern and then matted it in Purely Pomegranate. I attach this strip with sticky strip. I then stamped the polka dot panel and matted it, attaching with foam tape. Added the layered flower and ribbon and it was done!

As much as I love beautiful patterned paper, I end up creating more backgrounds with stamps than using it.

This is one of those backgrounds that just evolved as it was made. I stamped the paisley in Purely Pomegranate on Pretty in Pink CS. It just didn’t have enough pop so I went back and watercolored parts of the paisley with Purely Pomegranate ink and an Aquapainter and added some sponging on the edge. The last step on the background (because sometimes I just can’t stop myself) was to add some white dots with a Signo gel pen.
