Fun & Easy Flowers

Published by inkypaws under Lizzie Anne Designs

You’ve probably guessed by now that I’m more of a fan of images that I can color than solid images. Flower images are a different story! You can get all kinds of fun effects with solid floral images.

My card today is a pretty basic stamped image. I stamped the solid flowers and the outlines (twice not trying to get matchy with the solid flowers) in More Mustard on Whisper White. I went back and filled in the open areas with a yellow marker. The result is a flower with a lot of texture very quickly. The flower centers were stamped on Whisper White, colored, cut out and then popped up with a dimensional.

The dots in the background were made with Bashful Blue ink and a Fantastix (kinda like a dauber in pen form).

Stamps: Daisy Dots, In The Background - Lizzie Anne Designs

Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive

Ink: More Mustard, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa

Accessories: Ribbon from May Arts, Signo Gel Pen

Today’s JBWW Challenge……..

Published by inkypaws under Rubbernecker Stamps

………is to use stamps that have never seen ink!

If your don’t have any rubber at the back of a drawer that’s lusting to get inky, you can use a stamp that you haven’t used in a long time. Have fun and get creative!!!

Please remember to add the keyword JBWW on Splitcoast gallery uploads so Sherry & I can find your cards!

I made two sample cards for the challenge. Both are 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.

“Eat My Bubbles”

I stamped the background directly onto Soft Sky CS. I stamped the fish, starfish, and clam again on Georgia Pacific CS. Everything was colored with Copic Markers. I then cut out all the images that I stamped on white and attached the on the background.

Stamps: Fishy Fishy - Rubbernecker Stamps, Phrase is from Gina K Designs (this phrase just cracked me up!)

Paper: Soft Sky, Georgia Pacfic White, Not Quite Navy, Soft Sky Designer Paper

Ink: Graphite Black Brilliance, Not Quite Navy

Accessories: Copic Markers, Signo Gel Pen

“America”

The one is a really simple card. No matting whatsoever. I stamped and colored the too cute image with Copic Markers. Then I cut it out. The squares on the side are 1 1/4″. I added a layer (just a pinch smaller) behind the patterned paper on the square so they would be stiff enough to pop up. The stars were stamped in Real Red and cut out and layered onto the squares. The corners were made but cutting a 1″ square on the diagonal.

Stamps: Sammy & Patriot - High Hope Rubber Stamps, Starstruck

Paper: Brocade Blue, Real Red Textured, Georgia Pacific White, DP All American Type - Doodlebug Designs

Ink: Graphite Black Brilliance, Close to Cocoa

Accessories: Signo Gel Pen
