More Weekend Challenge Cards

Published by inkypaws at 4:02 pm under High Hopes, Whipper Snapper

As I mentioned yesterday there were some challenges thrown out for this weekend:

1- Make a one layer card (showed you this one yesterday)

2- Use a brand new stamp

3- Use a stamp that you had for a while that is being neglected.

I was a busy beaver and finished the other two challenges.

The first card is with a new stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. It is part of the December Project of the Month package. And will also be available as a single stamp on January 1st.

The image was colored with Copic Markers. The sky was sponged with Ranger Distress Broken China ink. The Distress inks are the absolute best for sponging. They stay wet just long enough to get a nice smooth blend with the sponge.

Paper: Georgia Pacific White, Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey Infuse

Here’s a peek at the products I used for these cards. Inks can be found HERE.

The second card is for the “Neglected Stamp”. I chose this cute kitty from Whipper Snapper Designs that’s been sitting lonely an uninked for quite a while.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and the Sky was sponged with Ranger Broken China Ink. I sponged the edges of the pink and patterned paper panels with Ranger Distress Walnut Stain ink.

Fantastic cards! Did you use Copic Sketch or Copic original markers? With regard to your great sky, is the sponge damp or dry before you ink it with the distress ink? Hope that is not a lame question, I am trying to learn! LOL! Thanks! Great coloring! Deb

These 2 cards are adorable….love the pig. But the kitty is my favorite…probably because I am the mommy to 3. Jennie
