New Year’s Eve

Published by inkypaws at 10:39 am under Rubbernecker Stamps

It’s New Year’s Eve! Dang this year has gone by fast.

So in celebration of the new year….. Here’s a Party Frog!!!

The challenge on SCS today was to do a Split Image card. I used it for my background. I cut 2 pieces of cardstock 2 1/2″ X 5 ” and laid them out like a square. I stamped the Happy New Year stamp repeatedly to create the background in VersaMark ink. I sprinkled Amethyst embossing powder on the Guava CS and heat set. I used Fall Splendor embossing powder on the Lavender CS. I sponged all the edges of the two pieces of CS in Ranger Distress Walnut Stain. Added the ribbon and adhered to the White CS panel.

The Party Frog was stamped in Ranger Distress ink on Georgia Pacific CS. He was then colored with Copic markers. I added a little Diamond Stickles to his party hat and the confetti.

Gorgeous card! I love the richness of the copics. I so totally need to get my hands on some but they are so pricey and I am just scared that I won’t be able to work the magic that I see others working with them! Is there a learning curve with them or are they just easy peasy????

Amanda - The Copics are pretty darn easy once you get the hang of them. There is a learning curve, but it’s just a matter of playing with them until you figure how the inks work.

Love all your cards! This year, I hope to get in on all this grand stuff - like challenges and all. Copics sound like a real nice birthday present this month - do ya think the hubby will think the same? Miss seeing you. Hope you have a wonderful New Year. Thanks for all your sharing.
