RBC07 Coffee?
Before I tell you what this week’s challenge is I’d like some feedback please. Would you guys like me to stay with color challenges or should I mix things up a bit each week and do some sketches, techniques or other fun stuff instead? What do you think?
Today’s Challenge RBC07 colors are Cream & Browns (feel free to accent with another color if you want).
I’ll be picking a winner for April on the 30th.
The main image was stamped in Ranger Distress Walnut Stain ink on Cream CS. I colored it with Copic markers and then cut out the coffee grinder. After it was cut out I sponged the image with Vintage Photo ink. I used a Gelly Roll Glaze pen on the “coffee” and the handle for a teeny bit of dimension and shine.
Here are the products I used:
Stamps: 202-02 Coffee Grinder - Rubbernecker Stamp Co.
Paper: Cream, Chocolate, Archaic - Basic Gray
Ink: Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo
Accessories: Sponge, Gelly Roll Glaze Pen, Tonic Retractable Piercing Tool, Hemp, Sewing Machine
Copic markers used: E50, E43, E37, E21, E71, W-1
The rules are simple for the Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge. Link your finished challenge project on this post using a Rubbernecker or Stamp Oasis image and you’ll be entered in a monthly drawing. Enter as often as you like throughout the month.
***No Rubbernecker stamps? You can play anyway!!! You won’t be entered in the drawing but we’d love to see your artwork!
***No Blog? That’s OK too! Just link your project from any online gallery!!!
Rules, past challenges and blog button can be found –>HERE
All qualifying entries will be entered into a monthly drawing for
a $25 Rubber Bucks Certificate from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.
Check out the Rubbernecker DT’s challenge cards!

This is my first time participating in this. I love your work! I just brought Ethel home with me this weekend from the Akron show and she has seen ink already…gotta love that! Thanks for the challenge. Here is the link to my card…http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/897755?cat=500&ppuser=70578
I love the coffee grinder, perfect card for this weeks colors. Nice coloring as usual and I love the stitching and hemp.
Awesome Jeanne, You gals are making me want coffee!!!
Somehow I knew you would be using coffee this week! I did too! I love your card!
I vote to change it up; keeps life interesting. This is the best “coffee” card I’ve seen. Its beautiful. Gotta get me that stamp!!!
I’m hanging with you Jeanne as much as time allows me to.
Pretty card. I’d like to see some sketches or changes to mix it up a bit. Great coloring on this.
Oh, other challenges would be fun too. Forgot to mention that…
hmmmm……….haven’t seen this stamp (and I’d SWEAR I’ve gone thru all the catagories making wish lists…..) I like this (reminds me of a drawing I did many years ago while in college).
I’m for mixing things up….still don’t have that many RN stamps and not all of them work for the color challenges but mixed up, might be able to play more (well, as time allows)
I haven’t actually participated yet - unless you count viewing everyone else’s creations. But I think there are so many sketch challenges out there already - that it’s nice to have something different. I think the color is good, but having a technique or a project too would be nice and unique!
What a great card! I love your work. I think it would be fun to mix up the challenges with sketches & themes, like use a frog image this week etc. I’m not too fond of the technique challenge idea because if you don’t have the supplies to do the technique then you are automatically not able to participate–unless of course you go & buy the items you need. But, I think you should change things up every now and again. It keeps things interesting & fun!
Jennifer - I was thinking techniques that wouldn’t require special tools or products. Things like a card fold or masking.
Sorry I wasn’t clear!
Fabulous card Jeanne! I love the color challenges but I think sketch challenges would be great too. Themes might be more of a challenge but I guess that’s why they’re called challenges! he he
I’m for switching it up a little, Jeanne! I like sketches and simple technique ideas that everyone can easily do. I love your coffee card.
I like all the sponging on your card - it looks so soft on the edges. My sponging tends to look a little uneven and blotchy. I need more practice!
I like the color challenges but others would be welcome too. As long as it’s not too complicated - I need easy!
Thanks for the color challenge - here’s my entry!

Thanks for the challenge!!!
What a rich looking card…………………
Love your blog and cards …I vote for changing it up …it’s fun to try new things! DD
Here’s my Lil’ Cowboy for the Brown and Cream challenge! (I think he turned out to be more like Brown and yellow, LOL!)

Thanks for letting me play!
I like the idea of switching it up a bit from week to week!
Heres my brown and cream card. I added a bit of mossy green to it. Hope it isn’t too much to disqualify it, but the image just kept looking lost in the brown papers without a bit of color.

Oh, Jeanne, I’ve been away for 3 days and just went to post my card for this challenge and see I’m a winner - I am so excited I can hardly type - thank you so much! Love your card - as to the vote, I’d like to mix it up - although I also enjoy the color challenge. Thanks for all you do. Here’s my card:

I’ve only done one challenge so far, because I don’t have many RN stamps, and they won’t work well with all of the color challenges. I’d love to see you mix things up a bit!
Not sure if we can keep working on brown cards for the week, but heres another one that I got done….. http://www.creativexpress.com/community/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=31740&cat=500&ppuser=4413
