Company Spotlight - Gina K Designs!

Published by inkypaws at 8:38 am under Company Spotlight, Gina K. Designs

**Update -Blog Candy winners list can be found HERE!

This week I’d like to tell you a little about Gina K. Designs

...and give away some Gina K Blog Candy!!!!

I had the opportunity to work with Gina as a Guest Designer and let me tell you, she is one smart cookie! She has a way of keeping one step ahead of the stamp company pack. Her customer service is excellent and she just as sweet as can be. :)

A little about Gina (from her site):

It started with a pig, a cow and a chicken. Then came the silly crab and Gina Krupsky became Gina K. of Gina K. Designs. Gina designs stamps that range from whimsical to elegant and little bit of everything in between. From her “Tickle your Funny Bone” line that will give you a chuckle, to her “Stamps for a Cause” - stamps that raise money for different charities, Gina K. has created not only a fun line a stamps but a stamp company that makes a difference.

Gina’s stamp sets are packaged two ways. The larger sets come in an indexed bag and the other sets come in nifty DVD tins. There are all some images available as singles.

jmsgkd-both-packages-copy.jpg

The stamps come to you as a red rubber sheet premounted on EZMount. Once cut they are ready to use with your clear blocks.

Gina has a variety of artists with different styles. Among them you can find whimsical, humorous, classic art images and some jaw dropping floral images.

Gina’s illustrators:

Gina Krupsky

Alicia Krupsky (Gina’s super talented daughter!)

Asela Hopkins

Carolyn King

Melanie Muenchinger

Rupa Shevde

Jason Sampson

My first card features the Botanical Dreams set by Asela Hopkins. The flowers were stamped on Shimmer paper with Aged Mohogany ink. I took a paintbrush and added some color to the petals with Aged Mohogany ink. I sponged a little Vintage Photo and Tea Dye ink randomly onto the cardstock. I realigned the flower images and stamped the flowers again in Age Mohogany ink.

My next sample uses images from the Owl Always Love You set. I stamped and colored the owls with Copic markers. I created a mask by cutting a circle from copy paper with a Circle Nestabilities die. I positioned the open part of the circle where I wanted the moon and sponged with Scattered Straw ink. I then positioned the cut out circle over the moon (and owls) and sponged Faded Jeans ink to make the night sky.

I’m adding an extra sample this week because I wanted to show you a special Gina K Designs “Stamps for a Cause” set called Whimsical Autumn which was created by Carolyn King to benefit the Alzheimer Association. All proceeds from this set will be donated. It’s a win win deal! Carolyn has created a beautiful set and your purchase will help a wonderful cause.

The pumpkin and leaves were colored with Copic markers on white cardstock. The pumpkin image circle was cut and embossed with a Circle Nestabilities die and then sponged with Aged Mohogany ink before removing it from the die. The leaf panel was sponged with Aged Mohogany and Vintage Photo ink.
