The first weekly challenge is from Kimmie. The challenge is to make a Birthday card with brads.

I chose one of the new stamps Gavin the Givin’ Dragon for my card. The image was colored with Copic markers. The sky (Baja Breeze) and grass (Kiwi Kiss) were sponged. For details on how I did the sky and grass go —> HERE & HERE.

    Such a wonderful design Jeanne!! I’m always in awe at your colouring skills but also your ability to make such a realistic ground and sky behind your image. I’ve got to work on that. Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!

    This is fabulous Jeanne. I just starting writing “I was in awe” and see Kimmie beat me too it.. I totally echo what she wrote and I have never done backgrounds before but would love to give it a try. Have a great Sunday, Hugs, Nikki x

    Jeanne! Awesome card! Love the layout, but the coloring on this cute little dragon is PERFECT! Makes me smile, from ear to ear!

    This is so adorable, Jeanne! Who knew dragons could be that cute!? I love your coloring! Question for you on the new challenge blog, are all the cards in the banner yours? That’s such a neat idea to make a banner with lots of cards. My wishlist is going to be so long with this release!

    My husband saw this and got a lil upset… he loves dragons.. so he made his own dragon stamps…. and well you beat him to the punch.
    I guess Im going to have to order this one for his birthday card. (hopefully he’ll get a laugh from it ;o)
