Elzybells Challenge #21 And A New Background Tutorial
It’s challenge day at Elzybells Art Stamps! Every other week a fun new challenge is posted on the Elzybells blog. After you do the challenge make sure and link your creation to the Challenge post on the blog! This week’s challenge from Kim is “Recycling”.
My Twill tape on my card is recycled from a Prima flower set.
Here’s my card:
1. The background was created by taking a 5″ X 5″ piece of Simply Smooth White CS and drawing random wavy stripes with Gold and Silver Koh-i-noor pencils. After you have all the areas filled in with your pencils use a stump and OMS (Odorless Mineral Spirits) to smooth and blend the lines between the colors.
2. After the coloring is finished score every inch to create a grid. Fold the scored lines too create an edge and add a little more gold pencil to all the lines.
3. Tear about 1/8″ off all the edges.
Add more Gold to the edges with your pencil.
Here are the Prism papers that I used:
♥ Stamps: 12-030 Flower, 03-010 Happy Birthday- Elzybells Art Stamps
♥ Prism Paper: Simply Smooth White
♥ Prism Prismatics: White, Majestic Purple Dark
♥ Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento
♥ Accessories: Koh-i-mor Gold and Silver pencils, stump, Gamsol (OMS), Copic markers, Twill, Gold Nailheads from Dreamtime Creations

What a wonderful technique! I love the look!
