This is my card for the MIX10 Mix-ability & the Free For All Challenges on Splitcoast this week.
The challenge is to hand cut circles (no dies!) from something (paper, fabric or whatever), add ink or paint & glitter to make a flower.
The Free For All Challenge is Birthday.
I went a little backwards and added my paint (Gelatos from Faber-Castell) first to a coffee filter.
I misted with water and let the colors blend.
One of the Gelatos I used was metallic and the result was shimmery goodness.
I then cut some circles in different sizes from my prettied up coffee filter. These circles are in no way perfect… I like them that way for flowers.
Next I added Sprinkles! glitter from Clearsnap (the best glitter ever!).
Assemble flower layers and scrunch. Here is a close up of my flower:
Next I took a piece of newspaper and scribbled in green and misted. After it dried I tore out a leaf shape and sponged the edges with Chestnut Roan Colorbox Chalk ink.
Here are my supplies (forgot to add the white acrylic paint I used along with the Smooch to splatter the card back. Phrase stamp is from Paper Smooches.
