My Favorite Phrase

Published by inkypaws under Christmas, Rubbernecker Stamps

I asked y’all what you’re favorite phrase was. Now it’s my turn. My favorite Christmas phrase is:

“Santa knows where all the naughty girls live.”

Now you see why Sherry and I are such good friends.

Oh……. I guess you want to know who your winners are (chosen by random number generator).

Ready?

Congratulations to:

  • Wendy - “Fa la la la la”
  • Deidre Mooney - “You’ll shoot your eye out.”
  • Ilene B - “Warm Winter Wishes”

I will be emailing the winners for their addresses!!!

So…….. who wants another goodie bag? I have one more to give away courtesy of Dave (The Man!) at Rubbernecker Stamp Co.

All you need to do to enter is to leave a comment telling me your favorite food that you only get to eat at the Holidays (because Holiday calories don’t count - it’s the law.). Please make sure and leave your email. I will be picking winner Thursday Dec. 27th. Good luck!!!

Wanna see what’s in it?

Let it Snow

Published by inkypaws under Christmas, Rubbernecker Stamps

The blog candy winners will be announced at 8pm CT tonight. You have until 7:30pm CT to enter. Just leave your favorite Holiday or Winter phrase on the Tiki post—-> HERE!!!

There may be another goodie announced with the winners.

For today’s card I decided to use watercolor paper and my favorite Shimmer Spray recipe (See Below) to create the sparkly blue background. I masked the bottom area with a couple post it notes and then sprayed. I dried it with a heat tool.

The tree was stamped in Ranger Distress Peeled Paint and then I misted the paper with water to let the ink bleed a bit. I dried the paper with heat tool and then stamped over the top of the first tree with Peeled Paint. The tree trunk was watercolored with a waterbrush and Ranger Distress Walnut Stain ink.

I used Liquid Applique for the snow. I poofed it with a heat tool. I then tore all the edges and sponged with Ranger Distress Walnut Stain ink. I scruffed up all the edges to give it an aged feel.

Here’s the Shimmer Spray recipe:

Combine in a small mist bottle -

1 dropper full Ranger Distress Broken China

2 oz. water and a 1/4 teaspoon Perfect (not Pearl Ex) - Perfect Sparkle

Shake well and spray!

Here’s a close up of the sparkly shimmer:

December DD/DDA Penguin Challenge

Published by inkypaws under Christmas, High Hopes

A couple months ago the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen Alumni decided that we get together and do a challenge each month.

This month’s challenge is to:

  • Make a penguin card.
  • It has to have “ice” (sparkle).
  • No blue anywhere on the card - THE HARD PART!!!

I chose this sweet little Penguin from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. The image was stamped on white CS with Ranger Distress Black Soot ink. I colored the image with Copic markers. I punched him out with a Marvy Giga circle punch. I added some Liquid Applique for the snow and poofed it with a heat tool.

I sponged the edge lightly with Ranger Black Soot ink - I stamped off nearly all the ink before I started sponging to get a light gray. I then added some Diamond Stickles to the bow.

Here he is!
