My card for this week’s SCS Mix-Ability Challenge (MIX116 Fill It In – stamp an image leaving an open space and doodling something) using stamps from Taylored Expressions and Chalk It Up paints from Earth Safe Finishes.
I was playing around with new paints and mediums and discovered if I painted Earth Safe Finished Crackle Medium directly on white cardstock and then a coat of Chalk It Up paint I ended up with this very cool wood look (I used Cherry Jubilee for the background and Milk Chocolate brown panels). I used the same paint thinned to watercolor the dog. The little red flower was my doodled add on for the Mix-Ability challenge.
I was inspired by the colors and layout of this card by Charmaine Ikach
I have a fun mixed media card I made using paints from Earth Safe Finishes, dies from Sizzix and paper from PaperandMore.com
I used a heavy white cardstock and cut a panel slightly smaller than my white card back. I added some swipes of paint and a few splatters using Chalk It Up Cherry Jubilee mixed with a little Gesso.
I die cut my butterfly (Sizzix Thinlits Winged Beauties) from red felt with my Sizzix Big Shot and Sizzix Magnetic Platform and then painted it.
I die cut my words (Sizzix Thinlits Adventure Words: ) from white cardstock.
I finished my card as shown and added a few sequins.
I have a fun card to share today using the new birdcage2stamp set from The Stamps of Life and Sizzix Framelits Circle Flip-its #2
I used my Sizzix Stamper’s Secret Weapon to stamp my images. It adds the perfect amount of squish to get a perfect image every time!
The Stamper’s Secret Weapon kit includes a double-sided Stamping/Piercing Mat and Paper Piercer. The smooth side of the Mat is the ideal surface for creating beautiful projects with cleaner stamped impressions.
