I swiped a Cucumber Crush inkpad along the bottom of my card (Tempting Turquoise cardstock) to create the look of grass. I used my finger and white acrylic paint for the clouds and a background for the little flower patches. The flower (and phrase are both from Crazy About You) were stamped in Watermelon Wonder ink. The leaves were stamped in Mint Macaron ink.

This is my card for this weeks Mix-ability (MIX125) challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge was to use pebbles or shells as a mask on your project.
Have you ever thought of trying Mixed Media techniques? Come and play along with us each week. Brand new mixed media challenges are posted every Friday. The challenges are for beginning Mixed Media all the way to advanced. You’ll be surprised how fun and easy the techniques are (and most use supplies you will already have on hand!). You can see all of the challenges and techniques HERE.
I started by placing some pebbles on watercolor paper and then used ink sprays in turquoise and a berry color. After my ink was dry I embossed with Floral Vine and then added white acrylic paint to the raised areas on the panel. Love how it ended up looking like Batik. This technique was a little messy but very fun!
I attached my panel to the card and used die cuts and stamps from Taylored Expressions (Ride the Wave Border and Think Happy Thoughts stamp & die) to finish my card.

I have a nice “anytime” card to share today using dies and stamps from Taylored Expressions. Love the color combination (which I swiped from a sweet card from Amy Crockett on Pinterest – thanks Amy!).
