I have a project tutorial on the Sizzix Blog for this card!
Check it out HERE
I’m hosting the Mix-Ability challenge on Splitcoast this week! The challenge is to use a heart in your project along with at least two mediums. I used Stamps from Impression Obsession, inks, watercolor and a little white acrylic paint on my project. You can see the challenge HERE.
I started by stamping my flower (). I used my Mini MISTI (My Sweet Petunia) to stamp the image repeatedly adding inks to the stamp until I got a good blend. Did you notice the new My Sweet Petunia Creative Corners? I love them!!!
I stamped the sentiment with black ink. The My Sweet Petunia Creative Corners came in especially handy here because My paper was a little warped from the watercoloring It held the center down very firmly so I could stamp my sentiment without magnets sticking together.. nice!
This is my first post with a new to me stamp company Simply Stamps. They have an assortment of craft stamps and they also make a huge variety of address stamps and custom stamps.
Today I’ll be working with the Made With Chicken stamp (which is in the food packaging stamps section which I thought was funny because my chickens are anything but food) and a Custom One Line stamp that I had made with the phrase. Ever had a phrase that you can’t find? You can have it made… fun stuff!
I started by making a simple watercolor wash background with ink on watercolor paper. I used the same 4 colors of ink as I will use for stamping my chickens.
Once dry, I sponged the edges of the watercolored panel with brown ink and then attached it to my card base. I stamped the Custom One Line stamp (Happy Everything) in black ink.
Next I stamped my chickens with Made With Chicken .
I used a circle punch to cut out the chickens.
I arranged the chickens on my card with foam dots for a little dimension.
Here’s another look at my finished card.
