I stamped D13494 Wide Stroke in 3 fall colors with my Mini MISTI.
I die cut the DIE085-X Wheat and arranged it how I liked and then stamped my phrase (CL583 You Are) in black ink.
Today’s hop list:
Posted in Big Shot/Big Shot Pro, Halloween, Fall, Impression Obsession, Inks, IO Dies, MISTI Tool, Ranger Distress, Sizzix, Stamps, Tim Holtz
Today is my day to host a Falliday Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. If you haven’t checked out the challenges going on you should. Lots of fun and some of the challenges (including this one) are for card drives to special places. You can see my challenge HERE.
Today’s drive benefits Operation Quiet Comfort – an amazing organization whose sole purpose is to provide love and gratitude for ill and injured members of our military.
From their website:
“Operation Quiet Comfort exists solely for the purpose of honoring and comforting America’s military men and women who become sick and injured while serving in harm’s way. We also provide support to those who care for them.”
For this card drive, you are asked to send blank, patriotic thank you cards with NO GLITTER and NO ENVELOPES.
This card destination has approved year round donations, and so they will remain in our Cards for a Cause forum as an ongoing recipient.
Please send cards to:
12 Wave Lane
Carolina Shores, NC 28467
I used acrylic paint to make my background (the stripes and then I splattered) and then added a die cut phrase (from Lawn Fawn). I finished my card by making accent stripes with 1/16″ gold metallic tape.
Welcome to the Glue Dots & CardMaker Hop!
If you’ve come from Samantha Taylor’s blog you are in the right place! If not head on over to the CardMaker Blog to start at the beginning.
Glue Dots will be hosting a giveaway on their blog! Make sure you check in there while you are hopping for details!
I used Mini Glue Dots on my candle and then applied glitter on them. My candle was adhered with Ultra Thin Glue Dots and I used a Pop Up Glue Dot for the flame on my candle. Die cuts are from Sizzix.
