We got back to Sherry’s house from Kittie’s house early Wednesday morning. Yesterday was a sit around and do nothing day. I’ll be packing for my trip back to Texas tomorrow morning. I guess I’ll be sorta packing…I fly back to Sherry’s in a couple weeks for our Chicago/CHA trip so my big suitcase will be staying here.

On my card today I used Copic markers to color the flower and Grungeboard pieces colored with Cranberry Adirondack pigment ink. The following are accessory image sets that Kittie picked from Rubbernecker images to go with her kits. They were sized down to fit perfectly into her scenes.

I sponged the sky lightly to create the clouds using Broken China ink. The water area was sponged just a bit darker and then with a paintbrush I wet it (with just water) to create a sharp water line. The sand was sponged with Vintage Photo ink and then stamped in Vintage Photo ink with the sand image in the kit. I used a paintbrush with a teeny bit of Vintage Photo ink to define the line. The fence was stamped in Brushed Corduroy. The wispy grass images were stamped in Peeled Paint ink.

The plane and the girl were stamped onto white paper, colored with Copic markers and cut out.

It was a long day yesterday getting here, but uneventful. Sherry snatched me up from the airport and we headed back to her house where we gabbed and giggled until about midnight. I think I was out before my head hit the pillow last night.

I’m kinda moving in slow motion today, but I got a card finished for the Sketch Challenge. I used the Rubbernecker Cowboy image (because it’s one I don’t have - I raided Sherry’s rubber stash).

The background for my card was created by swiping Ranger Distress ink directly from the pad. I used Old Paper, Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw. I sponged the edges with Walnut Stain ink. The Cowboy was colored with Copic markers, cut out and popped up on foam tape.
